    In addition to being a lecturer at the university, he is the executive director of the Beijing Logistics Association, executive director of the China Automobile Logistics Association of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and a member of the Chinese Logistics Inter-Ministerial Joint Committee of Experts.
    His research expertise includes modern logistics system planning and management, supply chain management and transport and logistics marketing

    David Zhang is responsible for the logistics sourcing and end-to-end material flow management for Delphi Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Delphi in 2004, he worked for a 3PL company, and he has had various roles in freight forwarding, warehouse management and customs clearance. He holds a Masters degree in International Transport and Logistics Management from HongKong Polytechnic University.

    He currently leads IBM’s Supply Chain Management services line for Greater China and through the years he has delivered projects or advised companies such as Ford Motor Co, Geely, Chemical China, UK Ministry of Defense, Volvo, Caterpilar and others on supply chain and procurement optimization areas. Gerry is also a trusted advisor to CPOs and procurement executives in China. Gerry holds an MBa from London CASS Business School and a BSc form Aston university, he has been living and working in China since late 2006.

He is currently responsible for marketing and sales as well as forwarding in the Automobile Division. He is also responsible for the markets in China.
